Quick Start Guide¶
This guide will help you get your RTK Base operational in just a few minutes.
Hardware Setup¶
1. Connect the Antenna¶
Attach the GNSS antenna to the RTK Base: - Connect the antenna cable to the "GNSS ANT" connector - Mount the antenna in a location with clear sky view - Avoid obstructions (buildings, trees) near the antenna
2. Power Connection¶
Connect power to the RTK Base: - Input voltage: 12V DC - Power connector: Standard 2-pin terminal block - The base will boot automatically when power is applied
3. Initial Boot¶
When powered on: 1. Red and Green LEDs blink alternately (1 Hz) during initialization 2. LEDs blink simultaneously when acquiring initial position 3. Green LED blinks at 1 Hz when operational
First Time Configuration¶
Access the Web Interface¶
- Connect to WiFi network:
RTKWifi - Default password:
rziGTvnr - Open web browser and navigate to:
http://192.168.4.1 - The web interface will load automatically
Configure Network (Optional)¶
To connect to your WiFi network: 1. Go to WiFi settings in the web interface 2. Enter your WiFi SSID and password 3. Save and reboot
Or use Ethernet for wired connection: 1. Connect Ethernet cable 2. The base will obtain IP via DHCP automatically
Start Survey-in¶
For the first setup, perform a survey-in to determine precise position:
- In web interface, click "Start Survey-in"
- Wait for completion (approximately 90 seconds with Fast SVIN)
- The base will automatically save the reference position
Note: The antenna must have clear sky view for successful survey-in.
Verify Operation¶
Check that the base is operational:
- Green LED: Blinking 1 Hz = Normal operation
- Web Interface: Shows "Operational" status
- RTCM Output: Active and publishing
Next Steps¶
- Connect your robot to receive RTCM corrections
- Configure MQTT for cloud connectivity
- Refer to the REST API for programmatic access
- See Console Commands for advanced configuration
Troubleshooting¶
If the base shows errors:
- Check antenna connection (Green blinking = antenna error)
- Verify network connectivity (Yellow blinking = network error)
- Ensure clear sky view (Blue blinking = survey-in error)
Press the configuration button briefly to see error details on the RGB LED.
